3iS was founded
on the rich heritage of a parent business which dates
back to the early sixties. With recent additions to this
management team, 3iS have
succeeded in leveraging this proven record of successful
delivery within an international arena to benefit from
global opportunities.
- 2003 - Formalisation
of alliance: 3iSolutions (Pty) Ltd was formed to build
on the success of the strategic alliance formed in
2001 and to focus specifically on the European and
American data capture and contact-centre markets.
- 2001 - Strategic
alliance: IDS formed an alliance with iiiServices
to explore new European business opportunities and
production techniques. The alliance added vast international
experience, the first European business as well as
the successful implementation of the "key-from-image"
data capture process.
- 1997 - Management
buy-out: Grant van Beulen, then Branch manager, buys
out remaining owners and re-names the company IDS
Cape (Pty) Ltd.
- 1986 - ICL sell
a majority stake: 80% of ICL Data Services was sold
to Peter Arnold and the company was renamed IDS (Pty)
Ltd.
- 1962-1986 - Profit
generation and strategic move: ICL Data Services move
towards independence and the outsourcing model.
- 1962 - Formation:
ICL Data Services was formed to perform various highly
specialised and technical in-sourcing functions for
other business units within the ICL group.
